Clarification on combined duty allowance for BPMs.

Directorate vide their memo no. 43-44/2013-PE-II dated 20th July-2015 has clarified the following on the combined duty allowance.

Allowance	Existing allowance	Clarification.
Combined duty allowance (CDA) for Branch Postmasters.	GDS BPMs performing delivery or conveyance duties or both will be paid Rs. 500- PM for each item of work separately.	If BPM performs both duties, BPM will be paid Rs.500- PM for each item of work separately.
	If BPM is performing delivery at BO village only, it will be restricted to Rs. 250- PM	If the BPM performs duty at BO village only it will be restricted to Rs. 250- pm.  However, if BPM perform delivery work of village other than BO village, BPM will be paid Rs. 500- pm.
	BPM exchanging mails at bus stand or railway station will be compensated at the rate of Rs. 250- pm	BPM exchanging mails at bus stand or railway station will be compensated at the rate of Rs. 250- pm. However, if BPM exchange mail other than at bus stand/railway station, he is to be paid Rs. 500- pm.
