Locality based pin search directory.
1. The locality based PIN Code search Directory has been developed by Department of Posts in order to facilitate the citizens to find the pin codes based on the name of the locality. As you aware "Locality Based Pincode Search Directory" has been launched on 1,3.02.2014.
The whole idea is to encourage the usages of pincode which will culminate in expediting mail processing.
2' Though all Heads of circles have certified that all the localities have been updated in the Locality Based PIN code search Directory, however, it might be possible that there is
some error in the locality updated by the$ivisions etc. For the purpose, Divisional Heads are
-" empowered to make correction/updation the data in Locality Based plN code search Directory' The contact details of the concerned Divisional Heads are also made available in Locality Based PIN code search directory for the information of the public. lf any suggestion/complaint received in this regard, the same be taken care of and necessary action may be taken accordingly CGM/Misc/zorr-aoaVlo Governrnent of India
