Postal Bank- Reccommendations.

It is learnt that the task force committee on leveraging the post office network consisting of senior officers and retired cabinet secretary has recommended the following.

1. DOP  will emerge as one of the biggest e-commerce system in the world.

2. Post Bank of India will be established one branch in each dist. in coming three years.

3. Post Bank of India will have liaison with Prime  Minister "Jan Dhan Yojana" while extending banking services to rural areas.

4. Post Bank of India will be the second highest banking institution after SBI, with 6 Lakhs crores of deposits.

5. It was also recommended that Banking, Insurance and e-commerce will be established soon.
